Official rules for the Jazz Art Contest
1 - WHO CAN ENTER?
The works submitted may have one or more authors. The contest is open to everyone who is 18 years of age or older.
Entrants may submit as many works as they wish at $15.00 per entry, but winning artworks on other art contests will not be accepted.
2 - WHAT IS THE THEME?
The theme is Jazz. Any art technique may be used, but entrants must keep in mind the deadline of this competition as late entries will not be accepted. Images in b/w or color will be accepted.
3 - FORMAT, FILE SIZE AND RESOLUTION
Entrants may submit their artworks digitally (minimum size A4, minimum resolution 300 dpi).
4 - DELIVERING
Entrants may submits their works via e-mail.
In both cases, the Artist contact information (complete name, address –name of the country included, e-mail address, telephone number and date of birth) must be along with the work.

a) Via postal mail: All the works should be sent in an enclosed envelope. Entrants may send their artwork on paper or copied on a cd.
The entries must be sent before the deadline to the following address:

b) Via e-mail: entrants must send an small archive in .jpg format –no more than 2 MB with an image size of at least 1000 pixels - before the deadline to:

After the contest, the winner may be asked to send his/her piece in a higher resolution (see point 3), if the members of the jury consider it necessary for better reproduction of the artwork.
5 -CONTEST PERIOD AND THE JURY
The contest shall start on the date the rules are made public and shall end on August 15th, 2010 –the deadline.
The jury will consist of members of Facebook general public.
Winners shall be chosen by the Facebook votes.
The winner(s) will be notified On the 17th day of August 2010
6 -PRIZES
The prize will consist of $500 in premium artist supplies, to the first place winner.
7 - MISCELLANEOUS
The submissions will not be sent back to their respective authors, so it is advisable to send a copy –if the entrant(s) choose to submit his/her artwork in paper- instead sending the original one.
All artwork entries will be viewed online for the sole purpose of this contest.
The organization will not be responsible for any injury, loss or damages caused on the artworks by events beyond its control.
The organization has the right to alter part or even all the rules.
Entrants agree to the rules of this contest.
Any unexpected aspect on these rules will be solved by the organization or by the jury.
