Why do you have a desire to create?

Have you ever wondered where the desire to create comes from? Have you wondered why you like to make things, build, draw, write, paint, sing, dance? The answer is really very simple. It is part of your nature because it is part of God's nature.

The book of Genesis in the Bible says "So God created people in his own image; God patterned them after himself; male and female he created them." Gen 1:27

God is the ultimate creator. Genesis begins with creation, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth" Gen 1:1. Genesis goes on to describe how God created all things. God can even make things from nothing. It's like if you wanted some clay and you said, "let there be clay" and whamo! you had clay. That would be really cool! Clay is basically a special mix of dust and when God created people he used some dust.

"And the Lord God formed a man's body from the dust of the ground and breathed into it the breath of life. And the man became a living person." Gen 2:7

So, now you know that God created you to be creative, like Him. And, you also know that God created man from dust. Cool huh?

You can add that to your smarts!
