I am a Christian, a wife and mother of three, and an artist. I love that God has given us so much beauty in this world to enjoy. And I love that He has put within each of us a desire to be creative... gifting each individual with unique abilities and desires so that no creation is just like another. Just as our Creator fashioned this wonderful world, He has put within us that same desire to fashion beautiful things, to create, to design. And in each of us that creativity manifests itself in different ways… for one it is skillfully crafting words together in writing, for someone else it is painting, for still another it is decorating, or for another it is the ability to speak eloquently about a beloved subject, or the trained eye to capture a beautiful image with photography, or the ability to design a computer program, or the aptitude to understand finances, or the passion to garden… but we all have that divine spark of creativity. It just blows me away sometimes as I read blog after blog and each person’s giftedness comes shining through. What a wonderful thing to be able to bring beauty to the world through creativity.

It is a wonderful thing it is to be able to glorify our Creator by using the gifts He has given us. Acts 17:24-28 says, "He is the God who made the world and everything in it. Since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn’t live in man-made temples, and human hands can’t serve his needs—for he has no needs. He himself gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need. From one man he created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided beforehand when they should rise and fall, and he determined their boundaries. 'His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us. For in him we live and move and exist...'" Since as Christians we live, move, and exist in Him, we are vessels to be used for His glorification and for the edification of one another.
